After 5½ years of gigging, which certainly isn't much…we thought it'd be nice to have all the good moments tucked away under one heading…

Our maiden voyage found us in 2nd place at IIT, Kanpur, Synchronicity 2000. Award for the best original composition for the song " Black, white and gray". Bhagat Singh College Rock Festival soon followed where the clones bagged the 1st runners up award.

In the year 2002, Them Clones won Rocktaves 2002, the annual BITS, Pilani festival, after 2 years of 2nd runners up in the year 2000 and 2001 respectively. "In the name of God" the song that was created due to 9/11 attacks bagged 2nd prize for the best original composition at Rocktaves 2001.The following year saw Them Clones bagging the award for the best original song " Wait for me ".

The year 2001 also saw Them Clones securing the top position for HT City Uth Nexus-2001 with RJ and Romit bagging the best vocalist and best bassist award respectively.

Them Clones won the coveted top spot at "Crossroads 2001" the annual festival of Sri Ram College of Commerce and also at St. Stephens' "Acoustica" Rock competition with Dev getting the best drummer award and Romit securing the place for the best bassist again.

Out of an overwhelming entry from about 300 rock bands (150 in 2003) all over the nation, twelve are chosen for the mother of all rock festivals in India, The Levi's Great Indian Rock Festival. Them Clones made it to GIR 2002, 2003 2004, & 2005. Their songs "In the name of God", "Awaken" and "Zephyretta" were chosen for the GIR compilations "Dirty Dozen" (2002), "Major Seventh" (2003), "Rocktopus" (2004) & "El Nino" (2005) respectively.

In 2003 , Them Clones made a comeback gig at IIT Delhi, where they stood 2nd with Romit being cheered as a best bass player.

Besides these, Them Clones have played for many a crowd. Favourite gigging joints include Turquoise Cottage, The Mezz, Pragati Maidan's Hamshadhwani for the Great Indian Rock Festivals…to Mosh Mania, World Aids Day Concert,The United Nations concert against the use of Drugs & Illicit trafficking, Channel V Launchpad, JD SET(Jack Daniels), Rocktober Fest, Fringe Fest, Numero Uno Rock Out, DNA Campus Rock Idols to name a few.

Them Clones had gigs tucked away inside the, Big Chill, DV8, Music World, Planet M, PVR Cinemas, in Delhi and Gurgaon, colleges throughout North and South campuses in Delhi…to name a few… Hindu, Miranda House, Indraprastha (IP), SRCC, St. Stephens, JMC, Sushant College of Architecture, Friends of Music etc…(All in Delhi) and travelled across different college and rock fests in Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur, Shimla, Kolkata, Shillon, Hyderabad, Roorkie etc.

They've been naked on stage as well in January shooting for Sudhir Mishra's(Is Raat Ki Subha Nahin & Calcutta Mail fame) crtically acclaimed art movie "Hazaron Khwahishen - A Twist with Destiny" which was released on May '05.

 

At the end of a period with definitive moments of what Them Clones terms ego bashing. They decided to realize a dream of selling their own songs. The news was put up in this site as well as www.rsjonline.com… the EP was released…aptly titled "Them Clones EP"… for the people who made the music feel as big as it is. From June '03 till today…10000 sales…and still rolling… The EP contains:

.....the most exciting and original rock bands to have come out of Delhi in a long time.   Flickering candles held by the audience, symbolised their support to the cause.   Them Clones were a hit at JMC.
         
 
 
.... The rock show on the other hand, was a competition between four bands............. Them Clones (who were eventual winners).
 
Them Clones from delhi serving as openers. Things got down to business soon enough. The usual niceties between the band and the audience dispensed with, Them Clones cracked the bottle......
  It was during a burgers and cola session at McDonalds that the name came about. Them Clones lest you've been wondering means ......
         
 
 
..... Their last triumph came at IIT Kanpur, where they came second. This hot-headed and footlose bunch draw their inspiration from Megadeth, Pearl Jam, Rage against the machine and Alice in chains.....   ..... Them Clones an upcoming young band opened the proceedings with Dinesh(Killer Tomatoes) guesting on vocals. The crowd warming up 9:30PM and entry to the place was closed. Big crowd outside waiting to be let in, .....   .This Valentines Day, the patrons of Big Chill were served an earful when Them Clones took centerstage at the eatry. After winning three consecutive comeptitions at HT Nexus, St Stephens College and SRCC........
         
 
 
.... while city based Them Clones belted out 'In The Name Of God', a song written post September 11th.   Them clones also performed all their original compositions including 'In the name of God', which has taken somewhat of an "anthem" status as the fans always seem eager to sing along with the vocalist.   Achievements include performing at Great Indian Rock 2002, featuring in A Twist with Destiny (a film by Sudhir Mishra).
         

Apart from the above and many others "we were also interviewed at Channel V's very own show 'VERY [V]' and we played on a show on E-TV called 'Rock Chowk'."
